Reiki Principles in Practice:

Honoring the Tradition at Awakened Light Reiki.

I’m Dave Hadley, a Reiki Master (teacher) and practitioner, located in the Mission District in San Francisco.
I invite all who have opened this page to join me in your own journey to deep and effective Reiki healing. I practice and teach the Usui System of Natural Healing a traditional Reiki practice from the teachings of Dr. Mikao Usui (a monk from Kyoto Japan) passed down thru the teachings of Mrs. Hawayo Takata (the woman who brought Reiki to the west) and thru the initiating lineage of John Harvey Gray. I am honored to be a part of this Reiki lineage and its teachings.

I started my hands-on Reiki practice in 2015. I was attuned to First- and Second-Degree Reiki by Reiki Master Brian Brunius of the New York Reiki Center. As a practitioner, experiencing the deep healings my clients were having, I wanted to go deeper in my Reiki practice. In 2019, I started a two-year Reiki Master training with Reiki Master Christopher Tellez of the San Francisco Reiki Center, and in 2021, I became a Reiki Master Teacher and began teaching Reiki.

I welcome you to my practice. I welcome you to Reiki. My goal is to bring traditional, authentic Reiki to all those who are interested in healing the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic aspects of their inner being, and helping clients and students to live with greater clarity and a more vital life.

It is with deep gratitude that I can experience the changes of both the clients that I get to treat as well as the students that I get to teach, and watch grow in Reiki!!

My Approach

I believe Reiki should be accessible to everyone. I have dedicated my living space to my Reiki practice. This has allowed me to keep my fees reasonable and enables me to offer a sliding scale to those clients wanting Reiki treatments who usually couldn’t afford them. My clients and students enjoy my safe, kind, healing space.
Regular treatments create deep, lasting changes—but even a few treatments can create powerful shifts and new perspectives.

Whether I am meeting with a client or students, I like to meet people where they are at and bring my years of experience and practice in Reiki to that individual. I think of it as giving people a space that is all about the individual and how I can best serve them in Reiki healing.

When it comes to treatments, I encourage clients to come regularly. Those who come regularly experience deep, effective, lasting changes—but even a few treatments can create powerful shifts and new perspectives.

With teaching Reiki, I invite both clients and people looking to learn Reiki to come to a First-Degree Reiki class and experience the gift of Reiki healing from an internal perspective.

In my experience, Reiki is a limitless gift that continues to expand!!!
